Thousand Oaks Land Use Survey, March 24 Results Show Potential Fraudulent Returns

After a brief review of the 33 question survey that seemed to pigeon hole responses to the affirmative of development, simply which type of development would be least vomitous, it became apparent to this reviewer that the comments did not match the responses to the questions at all.

In fact, the comments were slanted very heavily to ZERO NEW BUILDING while the infographics seemed to paint another dimension of robotic clicks. So, given this optical disparity I chose to invoke my right as a California citizen and request the public records surrounding the 2/2-3/15 open survey on Land Use. I will quote the actual text of the CPRA request below and will certainly report any progress from the City of Thousand Oaks as well.

Dear City of Thousand Oaks General Plan 2045 Team,

I am requesting under the California Public Records Act, the number of redundant IP addresses and emails of the respondents to the City of Thousand Oaks’ “third online community survey for the General Plan Update, TO2045, from February 2 – March 15, 2021” which was publicly released on March 24, 2021.

I request to see reported the anonymized conglomeration of same IP addresses and emails to each question and comments, if any. To be sure, I do not want the actual IP addresses nor the actual emails. But, I do want to have reported to me whether there are duplicate accounts or responses disguised as different members of the public answering survey questions.

If these records were not anticipated, kept or later able to be accessed, I’d like a very detailed answer to why the planning of such potential fraud was not addressed in the building of said survey, what the City of Thousand Oaks will do during its next survey and whether they would consider reissuing the survey if significant anomalies are discovered as a result of this CPRA request.

The requested documents and this request will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within the requisite time under the law.
