VCBOS Resolution 21-005 – Flagrant Inaccuracy and Political Grandstanding on Full Display

Our Elected Officials Wave Ignorance Like The Flag

If you haven’t read Ventura County Board of Supervisors Linda Parks’ monumental pile of inaccurate garbage about the establishment’s new favorite distraction from their terrible leadership, nose-diving economy and scorching of our children’s future, click the above image. I was not the only person so outraged, but I don’t know how many people actually know VCBOS spoke such inaccuracies on behalf of every single Ventura County Voter. I submitted the public records request below to get a better understanding of how this ridiculousness came to be drafted, ratified and a stain on our community.

Re: VCBOS Resolution No. 21-005: All data; documented conversations, print and digital media, internal and external reports, mobile phone texts and emails and declassified government intelligence used to draft and ratify this resolution

Request date: March 26, 2021

To Whom It May Concern,

I was recently made aware of VCBOS Resolution 21-005 which made incredible and inaccurate definitive claims about a national event that hasn’t been adjudicated to this day, yet it was passed unanimously and went on the record as the voice of Ventura County.

The intent of the resolution aside, I find the total inaccuracy and flagrant use of county resources to grandstand for political posturing alone to be repugnant. Therefore I exercise my right as a California Citizen under the California Public Records Act, to see all of the following public records:

“All data; documented conversations, media, reports, texts, emails and declassified intelligence used to draft and ratify VCBOS Resolution 21-005.”

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
